Hazrat Shah Amanat Khan Iraqi (RA) Biography and Miracles....

After the advent of Islam, after the era of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), the Sahabi, the Tabeeen, the Tabe-Tabeen, and then the Auli-Awliya played a major role in spreading it worldwide. Even though the door of prophethood was closed after the end of the Prophet, Allah opened the door of salvation to the righteous servants. He accepts His chosen favored servants as friends. All these famous Sufis, Alis, Darbeshes, Auli-Auliyas have sacrificed their lives for spreading Islam, the religion of peace, by giving up their luxury in all the parts of the world where the light of Islam has not reached. Prophets have a special power called 'Mojaza' and Awliya have a special power called 'Karamat'. Such a great man is Auliya Hazrat Shah Sufi Amanat Khan of Chittagong (RA).

God-loving martyr Shah Sufi Amanat (R.H.) was a descendant of famous saint Barapir Hazrat Mohiuddin Abdul Quader Jilani (R.H.) who was the exponent of Qaderiya Tariqa. At the behest of the spiritual world, Hazrat Amanat Shah went to distant Kashmir for spiritual enlightenment. While searching for Murshid there, an elderly person told him to search for Hazrat Abdur Rahim Shaheed (RA). But there he came to know that Abdur Rahim Shaheed (RA) was staying in the Indian city of Lucknow. Lakshou came to know that he had gone to Makhsusabad (Murshidabad) some time ago. After coming to Makhsusabad, Hazrat Amanat (R.H.) was able to get close to Premaspad Hazrat Shaheed (R.H.). In the company of Jyortimaya Purusha, Elme Marefat took initiation and within a short time Elme Baten attained great excellence in the scriptures. Pir Saheb realized that Shah Amanat's heart was filled with the tide of love of God and his mind was waiting for him to know Rabbul Alamin. Stayed here in the service of Murshid for about 12 years and was able to gain great perfection and spirituality. Seeing the breadth and depth of Amanat's divine powers, the Murshid conferred upon him the caliphate of the Qaderiyya, Naqshbandiyya, Mujaddidiya, Chishtiyya and Madariyya orders and instructed him to go to Chittagong to earn a living and serve Islam through married life and halal earnings. In the year 1120, Hazrat Shaheed himself left Makhsusabad and brought his nephew Sufi Najmuddin and nephew Sufi Bahauddin to Dhaka.

Shah Sufi Amanat Khan (R.H.) was very blessed to assume the authority of the spiritual world of Chittagong.

Coming to Chittagong, Hazrat Amanat (RA) took a small job in the local Chittagong court for livelihood. Various writers have expressed different opinions about his work. According to some, he was Hakeem Saheb's chaparashi, some say he was the Mir of the court, and many others expressed the opinion that Hazrat Hakeem Saheb used to pull his fan. Be that as it may, after completing the duties of the job throughout the day, he used to indulge in spiritual pursuits at night.

The illusions of worldly life could not make him homesick. For night worship he chose a quiet place on the western bank of Badr Pond, a little west of Pir Badruddin Allama's tomb at the foot of Andarkilla Hill in Chittagong. Here he established a khanqah. Later it became famous as “Khankah Amantia”.

During his court career, Hazrat Amanat won everyone's hearts with his gentle manners, great patience and silence. At that time he was known as 'Miya Chaheb' to the local people. He always wore white clothes like the clothes of Ehram. Hazrat Amanat (R.H.) spent the whole day performing his duties in the court and staying awake at night in the dilapidated hut meditating on Allah.

He kept his true identity a secret. Although he worked during the day under the guise of a job under the cover of worldliness, he engaged himself in the strict pursuit of mysticism till late at night. At one such moment, his spiritual cover was revealed in public while helping an extremely helpless person to collect the documents of the case. The legend of the astonishing incident of gathering the documents of the case in a moment by making a sampan by spreading a handkerchief in the water and narrowing the path of hundreds of miles of the impassable sea in the blink of an eye is still spoken from generation to generation by the people of Chittagong.

The deeds of Hazrat Amanat Khan (RA) were shed light on.

🕌

Handkerchief when sampan:

A resident of Maheshkhali came to Chittagong to market. On the way back, he went to the lawyer to inquire about his old case and found out that the date of his case is tomorrow. Hearing the news, the man's head felt like a thunderbolt. The man thought that the old case would be dated so soon and moreover it was not possible to collect the old documents and bring the documents from home and submit them to the court within the night. The lawyer assures him that he will get more time by praying for time in the court. But the next day, the court rejected the lawyer's prayer for time and fixed the date of hearing the next day. After this news, the man was upset. If he loses the lawsuit, he starts crying thinking that he will have to sit on the road after losing his hard-earned support throughout his life.

After the vacation of the court, Hazrat saw the man on the way crying because he was afraid of losing all his wealth. Hazrat Sneher placed his hand on the man's head and asked, "Did you acquire the property by lawful means?" The man replied, "Yes, acquired in a completely halal way." Hazrat Amanat (RA) asked to come to Sadarghat after Maghrib prayer. The man was moved to tears at the sight of such earnestness and amiable countenance of the little scholar of the court. In the evening, the man who was present in a secluded place said that if you do him any favors in the matter of the case, he will have to swear that he will not tell anyone else about this matter. The man swears not to tell anyone. Before this the man thought to himself that maybe the man would recommend my case to the judge. But seeing the current appearance, a stir was created in his mind. Hazrat spread the white cloth wrapped around his body in the water of the Karnaphuli river and said, 'If you climb the handkerchief, it will turn into a sampan, and if you close your eyes, it will continue. If the sampan hits somewhere, it should open its eyes and fall down and that place is home. Close your eyes again after pressing the document with the sampan. As per Hazrat's words, the man started walking with his feet on the handkerchief and closing his eyes, Sampan and stopped at the gate of the house and returned as usual with the necessary documents from the house within moments. Without wasting words, Hazrat returned to his hut, reminding him of his promise.

The next day, when Hakeem asked where the case documents came from in the court, the man said that it was his relative's house. But the court did not believe his words and continued to cross-examine him and told him that if he did not tell the truth, he could be jailed for seven years. The man then fearfully recounted the miracle that had happened last night. Immediately, a gust of wind blew in Mr. Hamik's mind. He fell at Hazrat's feet. Hazrat Amanat's career ended on that day.

Light under the sheet:

Hazrat Shah Amanat Khan (RA) used to offer Friday prayers at Kadam Mubarak Masjid. Since there was no use of clocks at that time, prayers were performed by looking at the time. On a Friday, the Muslims repeatedly asked the Imam to lead the prayer. But Imam Sahib was waiting for Hazrat. The muezzin starts the prayer with a call to prayer when a luminous man in white clothes comes. Meanwhile, Imam Sahib blamed a young man among many Muslims for offering prayers late. Hazrat Smit smiled and asked the young man to cover his head with his cloak and close his eyes. As soon as the young man closed his eyes, a Noorani samjid appeared on the screen, where the muezzin was performing ablution to give the call to prayer. When Hazrat removes the cloak, the bright mosque disappears in a moment. He narrated this incident to numerous worshipers who met the inquisitive eyes surrounding him. Begged for forgiveness from Hazrat. Later the young man came to Huzur's Khanka. Being extremely pleased with his extreme patience, supreme intelligence, bravery and all the virtues of the soul, Hazrat gave him discipleship. And this young man is the famous Caliph Hazrat Shah Sufi Muhammad Dayem (RA).

Illiterate lawyer:

Gain fame, then punishment:

A widow named Khosamabudi used to serve in Hazrat's Khanka. He had a teenage son named Abdul Wahab. The boy tried to work in different places of the city but did not get any job. After that, when he told the matter to Huzur, he said, ask your son to go to the court and advocate. One day when he went to the court without understanding anything about Huzur, the judge of the court actually handed him a lawyer's form. Later this Abdul Wahab became a famous lawyer of the court in Chittagong. Fame spread around. Either the owner of finance. With Huzur's permission, lawyer Abdul Wahab organized a party for people of various professions in the city. It was about providing the same food and bed for all people. But when Ukil Sahib reached the venue, the gatekeepers did not allow Huzoor to enter and found out that there was discrimination between bed and food. As soon as Hazrat went some distance from the venue, the entire venue was burnt to ashes. Abdul Wahab felt remorse after realizing his mistake.

Among such numerous deeds are the acceptance of Islam by the saint, the deeds due to the display of the deeds of Hazrat Dayem (RA). Withdrawal of power, giving light to the eyes of the blind, punishment of intemperate dervish, cool fruit in no season, healing of the crooked sattar, miraculous clothing which were witnessed by the devout Muslims of that time.

Devotees used to walk frantically around the Khanqah Sharif in order to get the holy darshan of Hazrat. When he came in front of the guests with a very low step, Hazrat's luminous face shone like the auspicious radiant moon and the radiance of light spread around his whole face. Devotees used to get emotional with just one look at him. At that time, the condition of the devotees would be such that, in the enchanting atmosphere of heaven, the hearts of the divine charms would be moved by the pulse of dhikr, and the veils of the secret secrets of Allah would be revealed one by one. In the presence of Hazrat, the blessings of spirituality and enlightenment flowed in such a way that no devotee waiting in the Khanqah Sharif was deprived of the desired results. The reticent, averse to publicity, this spiritual saint had great respect for manners, but he never condoned ill manners.

"Miya Saheb" of Adar departed from the world on the last day of Jalakkad lunar month of 1187 Hijri year in the desire of God's grace. Realized that the Lord was looking forward to meeting him. Therefore, before his death, his son Shahzada called Anwar Khan and Khadem and said that there is a shroud cloth inside the bamboo chungi. After my death, after bathing, I will be taken to the front open field for funeral. But no one will lead. As soon as we stand in a row, a man will come riding a white horse, his face covered with a white cloth, and he will lead my funeral prayers.

All around mournful people. Everyone is saddened by the separation of loved ones. Hazrat Amanat Khan (R.H.) passed away according to the last wish, after taking a bath, the shroud was taken out of the bamboo chungi. Then, as the Muslims lined up in the open field, a bright man riding a white horse came and stood for the Imamat. No one could see him as his face was covered. At the end of the janaza, before he could understand anything, the newcomer disappeared within a moment. Many of the Muslims who were present continued to pray, then did Hazrat lead his own funeral?
